(An official length check update will be posted soon under the relaxer update tab) I am definitely arm pit length now with about 2 inches to BSL to go. I would like my hair to be a lot fuller, like the top of my hair so I will continue to trim about an inch off every six months. My next trim is scheduled for May 2013, overall I am happy with my progress :)

Relaxer Update #1
Today I relaxed my hair after 12 weeks of stretching! Well not me personally, but I came home for a weekend and my beautician gave me a dose of the creamy crack lol. Last night I separated my hair into fours and detangled my hair with Mane n' Tail detangler so that it would be a little easier on her. I was in and out of the shop in about 2 1/2 hours. It felt great to have someone else deal with my hair for a day so here are the results.

Very good progress. You should get to BSL in no time :-)
ReplyDeleteDo you use castor oil for your hair to be thicker?
Yes I use JBCO on my scalp at least once weekly. I also add JBCO to my DC's and I have been using it on my edges almost daily. I don't know if you can tell but the first 3-4 inches of my hair is a lot thicker than the bottom half which I believe is from JBCO and other things. Thanks I'm hoping for BSL by the end of the summer :)
DeleteBeautiful progress! A hair journey isn't a race nor is it or will it ever be perfect. As long as we are learning from yesterday to make today better, then there is progress!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I have to remind myself to be patient sometimes. Even looking back at older pictures from the beginning of my journey reminds me of how far I have come.
