Products used this Wednesday Wash Day |
So I began my wash day by finger detangling with coconut oil and proceeded to do a scalp massage. I massaged my scalp using coconut, olive, and castor oil; then I used the remaining concotion to spread over my hair for a 45 minute pre-poo.
I washed with the shampoo pictured above, KC Hydrating Detangling Shampoo, and followed with the KC Humecto Creme Conditioner which I love sooo much. I actually got out of the shower with the conditioner for about 15 mins to watch some of American Idol, because my hair really loves this stuff.
Once that was rinsed out, I grabbed the remaining Black Tea that is kept in my mini fridge and sprayed my roots and length of my hair. I placed a conditioning cap over the BTR and a stocking cap and left on for about 20 minutes.
These bone straight ends have to go! |
After t shirt drying for an hour, I sectioned my hair into 4 parts, and began to detangle. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful my hair felt after today's wash. My leave- ins were the KC leave in and the NTM leave in.
One section of my hair partially dried and detangled |
After detangling I used the LOC method to moisturize and seal. NTM + Coconut oil + Elasta QP Mango & Lime Butter, then twisted each section, put on my scarf and went to bed!
I am eleven weeks post this wash day which means I only have 1 more wash day until my relaxer hallelujah!
I love KeraCare's Humecto and Hydrating Detangling Poo! I've used both for years and years and they never fail!
ReplyDeleteYes I have never had any issues with any KeraCare Products. When I was younger I used the formula for Dry & Itchy scalp which I loved!
DeleteSo are you texlaxing as well? How is that working out for you? I can't figure out what to do with my hair for the lfe of me. I've got about maybe 2 1/2 inches of texlaxed hair, but its so thick it feels like new growth. Maybe I'm not processing long enough. i'm using a mild relaxer. I already suck at relaxer stretching now I have texlaxed hair to worry about. :( What are you doing to manage your new growth and texlaxed hair?
ReplyDeleteWell I have never coined myself as "texlaxed" but I guess I am lol. Since I began my hair journey (May 2012) I have been asking my beautician to leave a little texture in my hair. So like you, I have about 2-3 inches of significantly thicker hair. I have to keep my new growth moist, and I have began to take supplements to make my new hair nice and strong. Otherwise I begin to get breakage at the now MANY lines of demarcation. So all in all I work from the inside out and really focus on keeping those areas moist.
DeleteI know how you feel about the bone straight ends... I wanna get rid of them ASAP !!!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see your relax update !!
I know!! They are especially irritating on wash days... It is so funny how anxious I get before my relaxer now that I have began stretching my relaxers.
